You will feel like you’re living in a postcard when you stay at The Ferry Landing Suites! The Elwha Suite is a delightful two bedroom condo located on the center level of a landmark building just a few steps from the heart of historic Friday Harbor. There is no accommodation more convenient for walking from the ferry landing or seaplane dock should you choose to leave the car behind on the mainland. When you do bring the car, there’s a coveted on-site parking space reserved just for you.

You will find all the attractions and activities that Friday Harbor has to offer within a short stroll, including whale watching excursions, kayak adventures, local shops, fine galleries, theater, and an eclectic selection of restaurants. As an added bonus, there’s a coffee shop on the lower level where you can sip your morning latte, enjoy fresh baked goods, or enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie. During the summer, perch up on your balcony above the bustling street to enjoying watching the ferries glide in and out of the harbor. During the fall and winter months, you will find the Elwha a wonderful place to snuggle up indoors and enjoy the quiet, reflective atmosphere cherished by the locals.

The Elwha Suite is beautifully furnished, featuring two equal bedrooms, both with queen-sized beds. The living area is spacious offering a sleeper sofa, full kitchen, and dining table. A perfect choice for two couples or small family. This unit is people friendly, and not pet friendly.

Interim cleaning is available on request.

"Elwha Suite. Great location and views! Excellent unit. The entry keypad is unreliable taking three to five attempts each time. 6:15 - 6:30am wake calls (both mornings) by loud music from the coffee shop below.

Perfection!

Amazing place, upstairs neighbors not so amazing

The 2 bedroom unit was amazing for our family of 4. We had a blast watching the ferry!However, the upstairs neighbors partied till all hours and then played thumping music early in the morning. We heard every minute of it.

Such amazing views and right in the middle of downtown Friday Harbor, this place was clean and had all of the amenities needed for a great stay. Plus a coffee shop on the bottom floor of the building or just steps away behind us.

Great stay. It does sit above a coffee shop, so don't expect to sleep in. No issue for us since we're early risers. The location was beautiful, the view alone made it worth it.

Almost perfect

Originally booked the top-floor suite but switched when this one became available for the extra space and am glad I did. Rental was immaculate. Parking was easy to find and as described. Bay window and private balcony views were great. Property is in front of the ferry dock and vehicles queue on the side, but there was surprisingly little noise from this as everyone does well not idling while waiting. Also not much noise from the first-floor coffee shop. My only real complaint is that there is little-to-no soundproofing between the second and top-floor suites. The noise from our neighbors (baby crying, what sounded like someone bowling) was nonstop unless they were asleep or gone. Perhaps with more courteous neighbors it wouldn't be as much of an issue. Bottom line is I would stay here again.

Picture perfect

The unit was available at the time we were told it would be and contained the items and furnishings as described. The location was perfect even during CV. It was within walking distance to places to eat and being near the docks allowed us easy access to activities. Parking space was perfect since we drove our car on the ferry.

Fun Stay at Friday Harbor

We had a wonderful time staying at the Elwha Suite in Friday Harbor. It was at a great, central location which made walking to nearby restaurants, shops and the grocery store very convenient. It has a beautiful view out the front windows of the harbor . It is also right in front of the Ferry dock which thankfully wasn't too noisy and actually proved to be a fun form of entertainment. The only downfall was that there was only one bathroom which was a little difficult with 6 people stating there but we made it work. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay there again.

Great Location in Friday Harbor

Thank you for making our first trip to Friday Harbor a fantastic one! The accommodations were bigger than expected! Both couples were very comfortable! Checking in was easy and instructions were easy to understand! Location is the best! Convenient and close to all of Friday Harbor and the ferry! Although there was a parking spot available, we opted to walk on the ferry because the condo was so close! I highly recommend either one of the suites here!

We enjoyed the weekend in this lovely condo. Location is perfect for walking everywhere and it is spotless.
It is a bit noisy in the morning if you are looking to sleep in, there is a small coffee shop downstairs that opens early and you can hear the noise.
We didn't mind, we were up and out early. it was a really nice stay in great accommodations.

Island Getaway

Have stayed in various vacation properties this would rank with the best of them. It was better than the photos online. Located in the heart of the downtown area. The activity of the ferry and the water view added to the island experience. I would warn travelers who want isolation or quiet mornings however, the grandkids and my wife and I decided we could live here in a minute.

Totally worth it

Lovely - just get it and go. A couple of quibbles: 1) there's nothing to cook in the oven - ie, no cookie sheet, broiler pan, or cast iron skillet. We had to put our chicken tenders directly on the oven rack. Messy. 2) Wifi is s-low. Don't count on doing a lot of internet-y things (work, games) while you're here.
So, pack a cast iron skillet, top off your cell data plan, and get this suite.

Elwha Suite Ist week of June 2019

Excellent location for those interested in watching the harbor/ferry activity. However, along with that comes the hustle and bustle of cars & people. Area grows peaceful and quiet around 8pm until the coffee shop below the middle Elwha unit lights up around 7am !! The bedroom with the skylight is always somewhat bright even at night. All & all it's a great experience if you want to be near all the activity. Access to float planes, whale watching. The excellent King Market store is great and the unit has excellent appliances and room for everyone including the private deck.(

BTW... don't even ask for a late checkout even if no one else is booked..one contract says 10am the other 11am but they enforce the 10am)

Amazing location. You look out your window at the ferry dock just below you. For us non-islanders it feels like being at the heart of the activity while still at home. And you have two coffee places and 3 restaurants within 100 feet of your door, but you're also a couple floors up, so it's not off-putting, quiet and private.

The only disappointment in our stay was that the wireless was down the whole time, Friday to Tuesday. There had been a problem throughout the island the day before with a cable cut at Anacortes, but as our stay wore on, everybody else had Internet, we didn't. Management became responsive only after several complaints, and the problem was still there when we left.

Excellent!

The location is perfect immediately in front of the ferry. Beautiful windows where we sat and watched the busy activity of the port. Close to all restaurants. Reserved parking. Very clean and comfy robes were a great touch. The only issue we had is the internet was inoperable for the entire trip and was never repaired even after reporting the issue.

This property is all about the location. Literally steps from the ferry landing, you're in the middle of it all with the best views of the harbor. Furniture is dated and not the most comfortable (the new blue couch is awful), but certainly doable. Has all the basic kitchenware you need for simple meals.
