With spectacular views of Deer Harbor and the Olympic Mountains to the south, this Orcas Island cottage is just steps from the water and offers easy access for beach combing. The gentle surrounding waters are perfect for kayaking, and a dock is available to launch kayaks and canoes at high tide - or carry them down the path and set off from your private beach.

Marina View is a spacious one-bedroom guest house with a king bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a large living area with a vaulted ceiling. The living area and dining nook offer south and west water views. There is also a twin bed in the living room for an additional guest.

Three and a half acres offers ample room for play and there is a large level lawn that is conducive to croquet or badminton. The guest cottage, while sharing the family's vacation compound, is designed with your privacy in mind. Landscaping provides a secure and private environment for both parties, even if the owner should also be in residence.

Marina View is conveniently within walking distance of Deer Harbor Marina, a convenience market and post office. It's a great location, within a comfortable 20 minutes of the ferry landing and the amenities of Eastsound. It is also a wonderful vantage point for Deer Harbor fireworks if you are the lucky ones to book this cottage over the 4th of July!

SW Orcas slice of heaven

"Looking for peace & quiet, waterfront access, walks for your dog, darling marina views and everything you could want in a cottage, then you need to rent this property. With Orcas being so dog friendly, was so grateful to find this cottage which allowed my 85lb doodle. Great leash set-up in yard, walked to coffee in the AM, or lunch at the dock cafe. The owners next door with a gorgeous property so you can tell everything is well taken care of. Had privacy the entire time……and the peace & quiet was SO nice. Hot tub was amazing after paddle boarding from your own yard!!!!! It was just perfect. King bed was SO comfy and we loved how NW Island Escapes is really eco conscious with the Orcas Recycling Program and trying to lessen footprint. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

Beautiful Spot

"Beautiful property. Very private and quiet. Plenty of room for my dog to romp on the lawn. Beach access! The king bed was the most comfortable! I miss the views already! Freshly cut flowers were much appreciated!

Fantastic weekend getaway spot

"We were lucky to find this cottage for a fall weekend getaway in November. The views of the harbor were beautiful, and the house was meticulously maintained and stocked with everything we needed. The online photos don't do the interior of the cabin justice, which is incredibly clean and cozy and feels more like a cabin than a guest house. The yard is huge and was perfect for our pup. We'll definitely be coming back!

Serene Setting for Cozy Cottage

We picked this house because it took dogs, but would definitely come back without our pup. The setting overlooking the marina is so serene, I could have spent our entire week gazing at it while sitting in one of the Adirondack chairs or the hot tubs. The photos do not do it justice. The house is well appointed and the owners seem very thoughtful - amenities for the dog, great instructions, extra towels, etc. The house is also close to the restaurant at the Deer Harbor Inn (we walked there), the Deer Harbor Marina (which has a little store with butter, eggs, etc.), and the south trailhead for Turtleback Mountain (some of the best views of any hike I have ever done). We highly recommend this house.

Tide watching in this cozy house

We had a great time here and will come back. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal and the grill was clean and way to use. As was the TV instructions. Location was perfect. Would like to come back during high season to utilize the beach and more of the outside and hot tub.

Wonderful Orcas Getaway – Very Dog Friendly

Had a fantastic weekend away in this cozy house on the water. Was pleasantly surprised to find all the dog friendly amenities, including the sliding tether for our pup to allow him to sniff around outside while we hot tubbed or relaxed.

Amazing!

The house was super cute. The hot was great to have just relax and take in the beautiful scenery. We had everything we needed. It was so great that we got to bring our fur kids to enjoy the trip with us. We will defiantly be returning.

Very nice quiet secluded spot on the water

It was a lovely secluded property on the water. We enjoyed the hot tub very much, especially after a day of fabulous orca whale watching cruise out of Deer Harbor. The bed was very comfortable, the heaters worked well. Deer Harbor is very tiny - only two dinner restaurants but luckily they were both great!

Great island cottage

Fantastic cottage, the perfect size for a couple and a dog. Everything you would need was provided. The cottage was clean and in very good shape. The couches are comfortable and the outdoor seating is well planned. Our only complaint would be the lackluster pillows on the bed. We will definitely book this for future trips to Orcas Island.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I visited Marina View to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. Typically, he and I bring along some upgraded necessities to ensure we have everything (binoculars, small speaker, and an outdoor cord for our dog). We did not need literally anything we brought as the house already had it! (Which is not commonly provided) Needless to say, this place was pretty darn close to perfect. We will definitely be returning in years to come.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at Marina View and loved every minute. Quiet part of Deer Harbor had us enjoying dining outside and watching seal pups play. Low bank waterfront with room for kayak storage on the grass or directly on the beach clear of high tide. Overall stars would be 5 but dogs can't stay alone in home so not really pet friendly for those who like to go kayaking, go on longer day hiking/biking excursions or eating out, etc. Absolutely wonderful place/location!

Lovely cabin on the lagoon

Lovely and romantic spot. Lots of great walks in the area. Beautiful park on the water in Deer Harbor next to the west side marina.
Best equipped kitchen ever!
Pruning the trees to improve the view of the marina and the lagoon would be a big plus!

A lovely little hideaway

We came up to the Cottage to celebrate our 19th anniversary. The house is Dog friendly so wwe got to bring our four legged-child with us. There's a HUGE Soren grass field where he got to play on after going down to the beach for a swim. We enjoyed the hot tub after going out for an great dinner. House has everything you need including big comfy couches perfect for that afternooon nap after playing in the sun. It was such a fabulous place we decided to just enjoy it instead of revisiting the islands attractions.

Peaceful Labor Day stay

Cottage was well appointed with a spacious "great room" and plenty of kitchen supplies for basic cooking needs. Appreciated the dog stake so the little buddy could hang out with us while we used the hot tub or lounged outside. Plenty of lawn for yard games but it was unclear if we could use the bikes stored by the cottage. On arriving, we missed the weather-worn driveway sign and ended up at the neighbors just beyond. She wasn't too pleased to see us so keep a sharp eye out for the proper sign. Bathtub could use a facelift. Otherwise we and the dog enjoyed our escape from the big city.

Relaxing, peaceful, quiet

Stayed four nights in late July. Peaceful, quiet setting. Hot tub was great! House was clean and everything worked just fine. Blackberries were everywhere and sweeter than you could imagine. The path to the beach could use a trim but overall a great place to enjoy Orcas Island from.

Great Spot for a Relaxing Getaway

We really enjoyed everything about the property! The location was perfect, the living room was huge, the fireplace added to the romance, and the grill was perfect for ending the day with a good meal. One of the things that I found exceptional was that the kitchen was well stocked with the basics that everyone needs but are rarely present in a vacation cottage. There was olive oil, vinegar, flour, a full range of spices, ziplock bags, etc. I highly recommend this place!

A guest house not a cottage, no kayaks and please leash your dog.

The on-line descrption of this property is misleading, at best. First, we were very disappointed that it was not spelled out that this property is actually a guest house located a mere 20 yards from the owner's residence. While the owners were not overly intrusive we did feel abit like being in a fish bowl. Second, no reference or mention of the availability of kayaks was ever made even though there were two kayaks located on the owner's dock. Third, despite the descrption stating how much Fido will enjoy the wide open lawn, the information booklet located in the unit requires that dogs be on a leash when outdoors. Overall we were very disappointed with this rental unit and would not recommend it to a friend.

Great Dog Friendly Retreat

This was a very comfortable place for us to stay with our toddler and large dog. The owners live nearby and were very nice and accommodating. The view was really pretty and the kitchen/outdoor grill had everything we needed.
