Just a short walk from the picturesque village of Eastsound and built by a top custom home builder, the Crescent Beach Cottage is magical. Reclaimed wood beams from Wisconsin, French doors from Singapore, teak floors, and a mix of contemporary and European antique furnishings are complemented by original art - creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Views from every window let in light and outdoor magic. Enjoy the quaint fenced garden, relax on the patio overlooking the pond and bird sanctuary behind the cottage, or watch the waves on the beach from the living room and dining room. Crescent Beach Cottage is an ideal destination for memorable island vacations and quiet retreats.

The living room is a comfortable place to sit and talk, read or watch TV. The galley kitchen adjoining the living room has all the appliances and amenities needed to cook up something good. The dining room is a great place to enjoy a meal or drink morning coffee as you gaze across to the beach with a beautiful view south across Ship Bay.

The Master Bathroom has a walk-in shower and soaking Tub. En-suite is a small dry sauna room, the perfect way to relax your muscles after a day of hiking or exploring.

The Master Bedroom features a queen bed, flanked by leather armchairs and ottomans. A small study off the master bedroom is the perfect place to curl up with a book or watch the wildlife in the pond. The study has a large sleeper chair that folds out into a single bed.

A separate Guest Cottage, “The Outback”, connects to the main cottage via a flagstone patio and features a bedroom with a queen bed, dresser, small TV, and a spacious bathroom. “The Outback” provides an ideal, private escape for a second couple, or additional members of your party.

In front of the cottage, across Crescent Beach road is Orcas’ most notable walking beach – the long and gorgeous Crescent Beach: Wade in the tides, beachcomb, rent kayaks, build driftwood sculptures and wiggle your toes in the sand.

Behind the cottage, is a serene bird-watching paradise, with views across a large pond and wetland with all manner of waterbirds, including Blue Herons, Red-Winged Blackbirds, Kingfishers, ducks, and occasionally eagles. The rear patio provides a magical place to grill on the propane BBQ or sit and watch the teeming bird life around the pond.

First time to Orcas

Vacation Date: July 9, 2024

"My wife and I were visiting our sister and husband who now live on Orcas. We had never been to the San Juan Islands before. The cottage was terrific - so comfortable and well appointed! It is well located near to town and Crescent Beach. Each day, we walked into town and on the beach. During our stay we had many adventures to different parts of Orcas island (hiking, kayaking, swimming) and would return to the cozy cottage for a meal, to rest, to read and to visit. Very much enjoyed sitting on the back patio with its view of the pond and woods in the distance. Bird watching in the back was enjoyable and we had a couple of deer visit as they grazed in the tall grasses behind the fence. Also loved the plantings around the cottage. Both Orcas and the cottage are gems! We had a great visit - highly recommended.

"This Cottage has it all! Gorgeous, beautifully maintained, well-built, charming home right across the road from a stunning beach. When the tide went out every day, we’d walk the beach and look for shells, and it is literally covered in shells. The garden and yard was a huge surprise. You feel like you’ve stepped into some grandmother’s English country garden she’s spent years over, and every time you open a gate, there’s a new part of the garden/yard with even more charm than the last. The beauty of that yard would have been vacation enough for me, especially when I realized the back patio faced a large pond that’s part of a nature preserve and the bird-watching was first rate. (There are bird books on the shelf in the little den/study just next to the master bedroom for you fellow birders, too.) The house was immaculately clean. I never even saw a fleck of dust and the bathrooms were gleaming. It was a 5 minute walk to get into the lovely town of East Sound, where we had such a fun time daily: eating, drinking, shopping, going to the farmers’ market, and even a parade! The staff was always immediately responsive to me, whether I needed a restaurant recommendation or couldn’t find the outdoor trash cans (in the tiny backyard shed), and were so helpful to us throughout our stay. Don’t hesitate - book this cottage!

Ringing in 2021 in Beauty!

Crescent Beach Cottage was a wonderful place to complete 2020 and start 2021! The location is ideal with the beach across the street and Eastsound literally a short walk away! Being centrally located created super easy drives to all parts of the island and was great for our daily hikes. My wife and I loved our room and my best friend loved the separate cottage for her private bedroom and bathroom. The sun room next to the main bedroom served as our teenage daughter's space, and although the room might feel small when the chair converts out to a bed, the space was perfect! We especially loved the unique touches throughout the space. We also saw beautiful great blue herons in the preserve right outside our bedroom windows!

Amazing!

We had such an amazing experience staying here. It was in a great location, walking distance to town and right on the water. The home was a little smaller than we expected, but it was still very comfortable and cozy. We cooked almost every meal there and the kitchen was very well stocked with cooking appliances and tools. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Picturesque Cottage – Ideal Location – Perfect Girls Weekend

We are five school friends (59 years young) that unite annually for a girls weekend adventure.
Although we now live different parts of the country we share in our continued love of the NW.
It was my turn to host our gathering - I chose Orcas Island & the Crescent Beach Cottage.
Orcas has incredible natural beauty, lakes, beaches and hiking trails.
The property has a tastefully decorated beach cottage theme. Yes, it is as charming as pictured! Great location for beach walks - a short stroll to fabulous restaurants and shops. Everything you need to cook at home and enjoy the view either in the private courtyard with the fountain and pond or the quaint dinning room looking at Crescent Beach.
Comfortable and cozy - there were a few quirks, but overall we were extremely pleased.

Great stay at Eastsound, Orcas Island

The house was very well located easy walking distance to the village of Eastsound, stores, etc., yet just far enough away to allow us to enjoy the peace and isolation of the backyard patio fronting on a pond filled with ducks and other waterbirds where deer wandered by periodically. Communications with the host were easy and we were very happy.

Our time at Crescent Beach Cottage was like visiting the seaside home of a close friend. Charmed by the architecture and the beauty of the decor. Every detail of the furnishings was special and memorable. A five minute walk to town. Cross the road to the beach. Geese fly in over the pond. I cannot imagine a lovelier place. Just as pictured and described. Felt privileged to be there.

Beautiful cozy home close to Eastbound

The house was lovely, comfortable. The bed were so cozy and the house was fully stocked. My mother in law stayed in the cottage house and also loved that. It gave her some privacy and time alone. Easy, slightly uphill walk to Eastsound and across the street is a great rocky beach for collecting shells. The road noise out front was only slightly bothersome during the day and quiet at night. There is not a sidewalk the whole way to town, but a narrow dirt path, so my mother in law couldn't walk it - we had to drive her to town, but if you are in moderate shape, you'd make it just fine! Eastsound is a wonderful "home base" to explore the rest of the island/islands if you're looking for a luxury home to sip wine at the end of the day!
