Designed and built in 2003, this sunny, bright and modern 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is located on a most peaceful, secluded woody setting. The tranquil surroundings feature high-bank waterfront overlooking beautiful Eastsound.

Casa Verde features an open floor plan with huge windows to the front, plentiful skylights above and soft cork flooring underfoot. The master bedroom provides an incredibly comfortable king size bed, with a luxurious queen in the second bedroom. The third bedroom has a queen bed. Casa Verde’s furnishings, modern design and easygoing atmosphere make guests want to extend their stay or come back again and again.

Cooking is a dream in the expansive kitchen with island seating for four, a deluxe Viking range and the perfect layout for entertaining. All chefs can mingle with the party as the house flows from the kitchen all the way out the front doors and onto the sprawling deck with dining table and chairs overlooking Eastsound.

From the deck, guests will admire the water view, sunrise and sunset over Mt. Constitution while feeling grounded and at peace in the surrounding fir, maple, and cedar trees around the property.

There are two large seasonal hammocks (May thru Sept) hung in giant cedars near the water’s edge for the pleasure of peaceful reading, listening to birds and relaxing nature at its best.

Other amenities include a Propane BBQ outside, Gas fireplace, CD / DVD player, TV with YouTubeTV and AppleTV, Washer and Dryer. And if your work has to come along or you’re planning your next novel, you can plug right into the private desk area with its telephone and an internet connection for your laptop.

Casa Verde Orcas Island heaven

"Casa Verde #269 is a comfortable and well-appointed home, in a gorgeous waterfront location. Heated floors and windows and skylights everywhere. Location about 10 minutes away from downtown Eastsound. Really, the best place we've stayed so far in the San Juan Islands. There were a couple of hiccups: the Apple TV set-up was (in our opinion) unnecessarily complicated, and even after the three of us reasonably-intelligent adults got it figured out, we were still unable to watch Monday Night Football. Well, we all had our laptops and books, so we stayed entertained nevertheless. The other thing (which we informed the housekeeper about, along with leaving her a cash tip) was the cleanliness of the sofa and loveseat cushions, which displayed multiple stains. Should remove and launder the cushion-covers, or perhaps invest in some slip-covers. The carpets of both bedrooms both had some stains, mainly at the doorways, and needed to be cleaned. The main bathroom also has a clear glass door to the outdoors, which is weird (though there is a solid door that encloses the toilet/shower area). Very private and beautiful property overall, though. 10/10

Great time on Orcas

Amazing view close to everything

This property is close to Eastsound, and has an amazing view of the bay. We spent nights looking at the stars and cooking. It's centrally located so it was easy to head out each morning and enjoy different parts of the island.

Our favorite vacation house ever!

The last time we stayed here was in 2004, and the house was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. So well-laid out and comfortable, fabulous kitchen with everything you could ppossibly need; stellar views (bald eagles in the trees, the sound and Eastsound twinking in the distance), close to town, just wonderful.

WONDERFUL HOME, PERFECT LOCATION

It was the perfect rental, but we ran out of water twice, albeit being very cautious with usage, doing the wet-soap-rinse routine, setting the dishwasher to run during the night, staggering showers, and only used the clothes washer once. It takes 4 hours for the tank to refill. The tank capacity does not seem sufficient to supply a house with 5 guests, even water preserving ones! We would love to rent this property again but the daily "water worries" are a drawback. The shower stopped suddenly as I was
trying to rinse off the soap and I had to use our cold bottled water to finish my "shower"....

Wonderful Orcas house

Beautiful house, convenient location: Orcas Island in March

My daughter and I had a wonderful time exploring Orcas Island. The house fit us perfectly and was very convenient to all the island's attractions and shopping (including groceries; we do not eat out due to my allergies). The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I have ever had in a rented vacation house, and I have rented about 25 of them all over the U.S. The living room heating was great.
We did have to change from another house (the other house had the problem), but the only amenities we did not have were access down to the water and a sunset (sunrise instead). The Management company was fantastic in helping us in changing houses, with information and getting into the house.The front door lock is tricky if you have never seen one, but once you know how to use it, it is simple and I am all for these electronic locks!

Orcas getaway

A beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Close to Eastsound filled with good restaurants and shops. The best appointed kitchen we have experienced with a long history VRBO renting. We were not there to view television but the channel selection is very limited and the 10:00 check out makes for a busy last morning. Overall this is a great home to stay at during a visit to Orcas Island

The house was spotless and spacious for our family of four. The location was perfect. We loved the serenity of the house and we felt secluded, but we were close enough to town to drive in easily. A little piece of PacNW paradise —

Having had a home on Orcas Island for many years, a place we spent summers and holidays throughout our two children's lives, we well know the area and have a deep attachment to it and affection for it. Now when we visit we are obligated to find vacation properties to rent and, believe me, our standards are high! :)

The Case Verde met those standards and then some. Beautifully located on the East Sound looking toward the village, the house is impeccably designed, thoughtfully decorated, and situated on a gorgeous waterside property with beautiful landscaping and wonderful, special amenities like a water view fire pit, a tandem of seaside hammocks, and bucolic areas to stroll and experience the forest atmosphere.

The home was spotless, offering a perfect set-up for two couples with an additional office space. The open concept kitchen/dining/living area was beautiful -- high-ceilinged, sunny (amazing floor to ceiling windows), with a big dining table that could be extended as needed. We had friends over for dinner and were able to comfortably seat eight people.

The house has probably the best stocked kitchen you could possibly imagine, with everything working perfectly and just where you'd expect to find it. Great bathrooms, particularly the master en suite, and lovely appointments. The only issue we had was with the master suite blinds that had a problem with their pulls.

It seems clear this is a home owned by people who not only know and love the area, but love this gorgeous place they've put together. Even the color of the painted walls and chosen artwork were beautiful and considered!

We would happily stay here any time and would recommend it to anyone visiting the island. I hope we will have occasion in the not-too-distant future to spend another vacation at the Case Verde. Thank you!

Casa Verde VRBO

We had the most amazing girls weekend because of our stay at Casa averse. The view from the fire pit in the yard, the well maintained and landscaped yard were perfect for a sunny weekend on Orcas. The inside of the house was very nice. We loved the big, open windows that allowed for great views of the sound. The kitchen was also stocked with everything we needed to cook. The beds were comfy! We cant say enough about this rental! We will definitely be back.
