Cascade Bay Overlook is a wonderful cottage-style home with a great down Eastsound view. Situated on approximately 2 acres of groomed forest with mixed old-growth trees, you feel like you are in your own private little park.

But the real fun is on the deck of this wonderful cottage. Enjoy the views of the harbor below, the lounge chairs, outside dining table, and the three burner Weber BBQ. This south facing deck provides a sunny place to enjoy the views and peaceful, natural surroundings. When indoors, the sun warms this home through its wall of windows that invite the outdoors in. The great room includes the gracious kitchen, dining area for seven and seating area for streaming HD TV from the comfortable sofas and chairs.

There are two queen bedrooms, each with wonderful Simmons Black mattresses and luxury bedding that will make you feel pampered. There is also a small bedroom with a twin bed for that extra person who always comes along on an Orcas Island vacation.

You will find a full bath with combination tub/shower and a half bath to provide extra convenience. There is also a nearby laundry room area.

The heating and cooling system has recently been upgraded to ductless heat pump which offers an even heat in the winter and air conditioning for those hot summer days.

Note: The loft in this home is not available for guest use. Please note this home has 5 steps to the entrance.

Please note: residential internet speeds, bandwidth and reliability in the San Juan Islands currently lag behind the mainland. Guests who wish to use video conferencing, streaming services, or multiple simultaneous internet connections should be aware that performance may not meet the levels they are accustomed to. Quaint Cabin with a View

The view was very nice and the house itself is comfortable. My review of 3 is completely because of my renting experience with SJI Vacation Rentals / Northwest Island Escapes. I was informed in February that due to safety concerns, the staircase and the loft area in the home would no longer be accessible to guests and the king bed cannot be used upstairs. When I asked what accommodation would be made for this loss of space of bedroom, I was told that the company is not discounting the rent portion for a stay. I was given the choice of cancelling with a full refund but knew that the options would be limited. Ultimately, my party of three had a wonderful time on Orcas Island and the house was just fine for our needs other than a lack of hot water at one time. However, overall, I will be reluctant to rent from San Juan Island Vacation Rentals or Northwest Island Escapes again, given their decision to not compensate for the loss of space in this house.

Lovely and Quiet

Great Views

We enjoyed our stay on Orcas at Cascade Bay Overlook. The views are incredible! The kitchen was well stocked with pots pans and utensils, and the management left us a container of spices. The power went out multiple times while we were there, but thankfully the house has several battery operated lanterns and a propane grill so we were able to stay comfortable and cook even without power. We'd stay here again!

Great location within walking distance to Rosario Bay as well as Cascade lake. This was the second time we stayed at this place and the house is great. The balcony with a view is probably my favorite thing about this house.

We loved this house.

We loved this house. The large deck was perfect for dining al fresco and enjoying a glass of wine while watching the ferries from afar. 3 bedrooms on the main level (one is very small, perfect for a child) and a lofted king on top. The house is a little older but that was fine with us (the kitchen sink leaked, but owners were aware and it wasn't an issue) . The deer were a bonus! Would absolutely return.

Great house with a great view

Enjoyed sharing this house with some friends for the weekend. It was large enough for our families to hang out as well as have our own personal space and the deck is amazing. The house was clean and in a good location close to Rosario Resort as well as Cascade Lake. We loved that they allowed dogs so that our dogs could join in on our weekend getaway.
