The Peninsula House is one of the most uniquely located houses on Lopez Island. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath modern house with Lopez charm sits next to Fisherman Bay land preserve on a private sandy beach. You can enjoy the 180-degree views from any 3 decks on this 3 story home. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area on the main floor open up to views of the Salish Sea and surrounding Islands. This kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal, with lots of room and seating for everyone. Watch the sunrise from your bed in the luxurious master suite, or soak in the master suites jetted tub! This house is ideal for groups and families with extra sleeping areas in the top floor loft, next to the master suite and bath. A futon on the ground level area, next to the 2 queen bedrooms and shared full bath. Both queen bedrooms have views and private entryway to the patio and outside area. The fourth bedroom is easily located on the main floor, near the kitchen, dining area, laundry room, full shared bath and TV room.
Outside you can enjoy cooking on the grill, having a fire in the pit on the beach or sit on any 3 decks set for lounging, having meals and enjoying the views.
Take our bikes down the peninsula along Fisherman Bay and the sea for some bird watching. Enjoy the land preserve and other close beaches like Otis Perkins. The house is a short 10 min drive to the village and 20 min drive to the ferry landing. There is also mooring for a small 12-14' boat with easy access to the house.

Response from Northwest Vacations:
This house is a nice spot for wildlife and the water views are pretty special as well and glad you had a nice time and we hope you will come and stay with us again.
Beautiful views. A tonic for mind and soul. The House was immaculate. On our first night we ended up grilling outdoors and watching the sunset over dinner from the large deck on the main floor. We took the canoe out for a paddle around Fisherman Bay. We spotted seals and possibly a whale through the scope on the deck. I was pleased to find a very nice guitar had been left with a note inviting us to play, so we made some music as well. The weather was breezy and bright the whole weekend, and we were able to enjoy many of the nature features around the house. Of course, there is the beach RIGHT THERE, but there is also The Fisherman Bay Preserve within strolling distance. We took our kids through and had a fun time amidst flowers and rare butterflies. Everything was too comfortable, and many unplanned naps were had. Will be back, for certain.
What a great location! What a great house! We found ourselves on Lopez in the heart of a stiff PNW winter replete with rain, snow, and wind. We spent our fair share of time outside on walks along the spit, through the surrounding woods, on canoe trips to the Village, generally exploring Lopez Island, and when it was time to recede into the warmth of the Peninsula House it was waiting with big blankets, deep tea cups and comfy couches. The house is perfect for groups both big and small. It had all the amenities we needed for our lengthy stay. We desperately needed a break from the bustle of city living and Peninsula House (and Lopez Island) did not disappoint. The whole time we were there I kept staring at the fire pit down by the water and wondering what it would be like in the summer time during sunny sunset nights. I was trying to coordinate a time to return. Looking forward to that opportunity!
This house and beach is everything advertised and then some! The house and its furnishings are comfortable, complete and convenient. The kitchen is a joy to use and you can see everybody and the view as you cook. It's sited away from any traffic or action - just peaceful nature - but still close to "town" and located right on a beautiful beach and nearby Nature Preserve. Oh, and quiet- did I say quiet - you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves and the rumble of an occasional ferryboat. We loved our stay here, and we'll be back!
We had a wonderful time at Peninsula House this past February. The house is a convenient drive to Lopez Island village, but is located in a beautiful, secluded, wooded area that opens up onto a private beach...the best of all possible worlds! The house itself was exceptionally clean when we arrived, which made an excellent first impression. It would be perfect for a larger group, but even with just four of us it felt cozy and comfortable. The views from both decks were spectacular and the beds were comfortable. Sometimes one never knows what they'll get in a rental kitchen in terms of appliances, cookware, etc. but there was no need to worry here- the kitchen had everything we needed and more in order cook three meals a day. We also loved that the house was pet-friendly and our dog had a great time as well. Communication with the rental agency was prompt and responsive. We would rent here again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone looking for relaxing, lovely vacation rental.
This is my third time coming and its such a beautiful private location and with beach access. The house is large with a diningand living room view of the beach. Beds are super comfortable as well. Cant wait till next time!
Weve had the opportunity to stay at Peninsula House multiple times, and enjoyed it immensely in every different season. The house is spacious, clean and well-stocked, plenty of seating, bedrooms and bathrooms for a group or multiple families. Weve cooked many a meal and found everything we need in the kitchen. The house sits in the forest facing a jaw-dropping view over the path to the beach. The beach .a magnificent waterfront location for beach walks, sitting and staring, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, and for the hearty, swimming in the crystal clear (extremely cold) salt water. The nature preserve next door provides an easy adventure for beachcombers and birdwatchers alike. You just cant beat the location, the view, or the experience at Peninsula House.
